i'm always looking for little projects that will entertain my kids for awhile. so far, i've not found any that occupy them for more than 5 minutes. on our weekly trip to the craft store, we picked up a little wood doll for ella and ashlyn to color and some red, yellow and blue paint. 
i was ready, as soon as we got home i ripped open the packages and spread out paper and they went to work. after brynn was covered with paint, i thought "is this paint washable??"
well, still not entertained for more than 5 minutes, but just look at how much can get done in such a short amount of time.

ashlyn loved coloring those dolls! she puts them to bed every night on her night stand. and for real? only five minutes?! stink! it gets longer when they're a little older i promise!
