how does your garden grow

my garden is flourishing this year. i love to examine each of my vegetables. are they ready to pick yet? or as ella will say "are they red yet?" so i have many a green tomato and am just waiting for them to ripen up, so we can slap on some cottage cheese and salt and pepper and enjoy a nice summer meal. i've had several zucchini, and have already made zucchini bread a couple times, what else do you use zucchini for? i have a whole 8 corn stalks and the ears are poking through, but as of the last couple days they having taken a turn for the worse, i don't think they are growing anymore. boo. well, if nothing comes of it, at least i can use the stalks this fall on my festive front porch...

Gardens, very fun. Jared planted ours this year and has done a good job of keeping up on it! As far as zucchini goes, we picked a yellow squash and a zucchini Sunday and fried them up. You can mix or just use zucchini..
This is a really fast and good recipe!
I like to peel mine, cut into bite size peices. Heat skillet with a little bit of oil (I like olive) and add fresh garlic, cook for a few minutes on med. (mmm- I love that smell!) add, squash, sliced onions, salt and pepper to taste. Easy, easy!
Hope you like it!

don't worry my corn didn't make it either last year...it's hard to grow. Mine only grew like 3 feet. Next year I'll give you a secret soil recipe that may help. your garden looks awesome.

I'm so glad your garden is doing so well!!! I have a pretty big garden this year, but the only vegetable actually growing on the beautiful plants is zucchini and squash!!! I only have ONE tomato growing on my 8 plants!!! Sad for me.

Check out myfoodstoragedeals.blogspot.com for some yummy zucchini recipes, I havent' tried any, but they look good!
