water the plants

finally a moment to relax. i've cleaned up the kitchen and the kids are playing upstairs. i go to indulge in an episode of the city. i hear the water upstairs running. tell ella to not make messes. she assures me they are not only watering the plants. i don't bother to take a gander. i'm sure there is water everywhere.





again ella tells me she is watering the plants on her bed. i think what plants could she be talking about. the only flowers in her room are too high for her to reach.





the city is done. i trudge upstairs to get the kids ready for bed. ella excitedly tells me she watered her plants. i ask her what plants she is talking about. she points to her bedspread. see these plants. oh, those plants. the whole bed is sopping with water and all i can do is laugh.
