where the buffalo roam

we just spent 4 days in victor, idaho. a thirty minute drive through the beautiful tetons to jackson hole. it was gorgeous.

the weather: perfect. the accomodations: nice and roomy. the scenery: breathtaking. the company: i haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

crystal clear, jenny lake at the base of the tetons. we did a mile hike around the lake. ella had a couple of hard falls, but overall it was very enjoyable.

we spent sunday driving around yellowstone and stopped at a couple waterfalls.

we saw so much wildlife in yellowstone. at first, i was taking pictures of buffalo that were so far away in the meadow and then this. they would just mosey on out into the road and stand there. looking right at you. crazy people were getting out of their cars trying to get closer. i'm thinking isn't 6 feet close enough. we had to stop several times to wait for the buffalo to pass. joe was saying do you have any candy. i'm like really you want me to feed the animals? not a good idea.
we stay in this nice, big cabin that is set on a golf course with gorgeous views of the tetons. we went for lots of bike rides and walks. we stayed up all night (well, not all night) playing games. i laughed so hard, it felt so good.
we spent another evening in jackson hole. love that place. walked through the shops and had dinner.
